Brady Earnhart
Originally from Delray Beach, FL, Brady has performed to small, attentive audiences across the U.S. His song "Gargoyle" won the gold medal in the folk category of the 2002 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest, and his "Goodnight, Friday Night" was voted one of the top ten songs at the 2002 Mountain Stage New Song Festival. His CD "Manalapan" was a finalist in the 2004 Outmusic Awards, losing only to Rufus Wainwright's "Want One." Brady has also been proud to hear his song "Car Repair" aired on NPR's CarTalk. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa and a PhD in American Literature from UVA. In addition to songwriting and performing, he has taught creative writing in upstate New York schools, English as a Second Language in Spain, and (currently) American Literature at The University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA. |
