Soltero

soltero used to be just one fellow, tim, who wrote songs in his room about things he couldn't have and felt a great deal of self-pity. after graduating from college, he moved to boston, got a job caffinating yuppies in a cambridge coffee shop, wrote songs in his room about things he couldn't have, and felt a great deal of self-pity.

soltero is no longer just one fellow. the newest incarnation now includes casey keenan (drums), ben macri (bass), and martin pavlinic (guitar and keys). soltero's debut album, science will figure you out, was recorded in amherst, ma, with the mobius band, and was released in summer 2001 on kentuckyland records (which is really, don't tell anyone, not much of a label). the follow-up album, defrocked and kicking the habit, was released in spring 2003 on handsome records, a fine small label out of providence, ri.
