Nadine Goellner
New York City singer-songwriter Nadine Goellner has been winning over
audiences across the country with her unique acoustic-driven blend of
scat, soul and jazz. Her latest release, Sing It to Me Anyway (2004), is
being hailed by fans, radio listeners, and critics, including All Music
Guide, who cites the CD as “one of the strongest indie releases of 2004”
and TimeOut New York, who notes that Nadine’s “folk-jazz-scat
cross-pollinations have earned raves galore.” She has fast been gaining
the attention of radio and television, including NPR’s All Songs
Considered Open Mic; WFUV Radio in New York, where City Folk Sunday
Breakfast host John Platt spotlighted Nadine as part of his ‘New Voices
from New York for the New Year’ series to kick off 2005; and ABC News Now,
which recently featured Nadine and the volunteer work she does performing
in healthcare facilities with NYC-based charity Musicians on Call.
Nadine was recently named a finalist in the Plowshares Singer-Songwriter
Competition for her jazz-infused songwriting that has earned comparisons
to Norah Jones and Edie Brickell, and a soulful voice and dynamic range
that’s been compared to Chaka Khan and Christina Aguilera. The Arizona
Daily Star says, “Nadine Goellner has a voice that’s hauntingly
unforgettable…It will linger with you long after you leave her concert.”
