The folklore music group "Laimas muzykanti" comes from Latvia and was founded on October 1995. The group is characterized as authentic folk music players, but some years ago they changed the view by making experiments, adding new sounds and modern instruments to their music. Year 2000 they performed an experimental project EthnoRave 2000 together with Latvian post-folk band "Iļģi". It was a mix of folk and modern music styles. The band plays authentic folklore, postfolk and folkrock. The thematical basis of their concert programs are the Latgalian match-making, wedding, obscene and beer songs. |
