By the time Anu was 8 years old, his passion for music was evident to all those around him. His first love was the Piano. Never fond of sheet music, he instead chose to compose his own pieces from an early age. Every second of his practice time was spent crafting melodic ideas that would eventually give him the experience he needed to be a songwriter. Anu passed all his piano classes playing his lessons by ear while pretending to sight-read. Anu learned how to play the acoustic guitar in his last year of college. He got pointers from friends on campus and started to create his own style. The unconventional chords he discovered became the foundation for his sound and rhythms. Growing up around Indian music and listening to artists like Stevie Wonder really shapes the way Anu constructs his melodies. The warm tones of the acoustic guitar behind the relaxing melody line of the songs send out a positive and uplifting vibe to the human soul. Anu brings together a perfect blend of his cultural melodies into Acoustic Rock Music to create songs that sound unique and refreshing. |
