Harmonizing over banjos, mandolins, accordians, harmonicas, dobros, and guitars, this Brooklyn based duo of multi-instrumentalists presents an evening of traditional and original American music: In tribute to the long bluegrass tradition of Brothers Duets made famous by the likes of Bill and Charlie Monroe, Jim and Jesse McReynolds, and Ira and Charlie Louvin, the boys will devote the first half of the evening to songs that embody the high and lonesome sound responsible for bluegrass music's tragic beauty. They'll also be playing some of their orginal tunes that tell stories of lost riverboats, highway robbers, grandpas, sunshine, and bourbon. |
