Julie Jurgens was born on a mountaintop in Tennessee. One boring afternoon she got a little intoxicated and rolled down said mountain, and once at the bottom, couldn't find anything to do but pick up a guitar and learn how to play it. Inspired by her long lost mountain love, an elfin boy name Elias, she began writing songs that chronicled her specific yet universal heartbreaks of all kinds. With a voice compared to the likes of Dolly Parton, Jenny Lewis, Azure Ray, and songs compared to short stories written by the saddest of sad tomatoes, Julie is determined to either entertain you or bring you way down--whichever comes first.
