Keith Serpa
Chicago native singer songwriter-acoustic groove music aficionado, Keith Serpa breathes rhythm. Raised on the rich-smoky notes of Chicago’s diverse and soulful music scene, Serpa’s never too far from the sounds of the street. Having found an extraordinary musical mentor in his uncle, the late, great Jim McPherson, who played with such legendary acts as Copperhead, Mickey Hart's High Noon, Jefferson Starship, Joan Baez, and Merl Saunders to name a few, Serpa’s forged his own captivating sound.
For years, audiences have basked in the unique glow of Serpa’s simmering club and coffee house jams. Don’t miss a chance to hear this stirring artist.
Accompanied by Chris Walke on Dobro and guitar. Chris Walke has been playing guitar and steel guitar with various singer-songwriters in the Chicago area over the past 15 years. In addition to joining Serpa at his Chicago appearances, Chris has been privileged to perform and record with Chicago
area artists Dave Sills, Dick Smith, Dave Ramont, Reyna Larson, and Karen
Anderson.
