After leaving the punk realm, Benjamin began performing solo in acoustic folk venues. In 2005 recorded his first major record with his newly formed band. Mike Reeb (formerly of Seventy Two Others) held down the beats as Valerie Carr and Bethany Jones introduced touches of violin. In recent months he has been making numerous appearances with his backing band. His songs are "heartfelt and unique". Other reviewers are saying, "both his voice and his lyrics are deep...beyond his years". He has toured Europe and will be making his second apperance at Uncommon Ground with a small backing cast. |
