Born in Massachusetts, but living elsewhere for the past 20 years, Ross still has problems singing the letter "R" at the end of a syllable. His first song, "The Martian Street" made it's debut during indoor recess in third grade. Soon thereafter, he lazily studied piano for eight years, followed by a few semesters of guitar and bass guitar lessons. Ross took multiple studio recording classes while in college, and once "ran sound" for legendary jazz bassist Milt Hinton. While living in Chicago, Ross has taken songwriting classes at Chicago's world-renown Old Town School of Folk Music.
