My Name Is Kelsey Michelle Montanez. I’ve been raised into music my entire life. I guess you can say it’s in my blood. I grew up going to my fathers band practices and shows. Being onstage with my dad was the first time I felt what it was like to live in music. My grandparents are both artists and musicians also, where I got a lot of my influence. . My grandmother played bass in a chick band in the 70’s, and my grandfather played harmonica in a blues band. As cliché’ as it may sound, music is what keeps me alive and breathing. Creating music is what keeps my sanity. I can’t tell you how many hours of my life I have spent hidden in my cramped room with my guitar writing music for hours and hours. I was 4 years old when I decided that I would be a famous musician and I’ve held tighter to that dream than anything that I’ve ever held onto in my life. Besides for playing guitar and writing songs, I spend a lot of my time deep in thought. I love thinking about life, love and dreams. I am an optimist and I am extremely open-minded. I don’t look at things as being bad. I don’t think “bad” exists. I can find the beautiful in anyone and anything. To me, everything is only a life experience. And I’ve promised myself that I would have as much of this life experience that I can possibly handle. I like surrounding myself in what I find to be beautiful. I’ve always been a somewhat introverted person because living within the realms of reality has always been a tiresome burden for me. It’s easier for me to slip into the world I’ve created in my head rather than a world that others have created for me. But all the same, I still love life and my passion for it runs deep. I try to experience everything that happens to me with my entire soul. I am always up for a wild adventure, and I don’t mind if people think I am strange for the things I do. They are always welcome to join me and indulge in a new experience, and I am always welcoming to new things others can show me. You can tell me the strangest thing about yourself, and I can almost guarantee I won’t think that it’s strange. I do not get attached to things or people, and I rarely hold grudges. I like being independent, and I will never allow myself to be needy. It’s very hard to break my heart because I understand that people come and go and I’m not one to hold people back form their own life experience. As long as we had fun while it lasted, its all good. |
