It has been fifteen years since David LaMotte has had a real job or a real haircut. In that time, he has performed over 1900 concerts on four continents and in nearly every state in the U.S. The Washington Times describes David's music as "guitar spanking open-tuning grooves as well as gentle folk-tinged pop" and BBC Radio lauds his "charm, stories, humor, insightful songs, sweet voice and dazzling guitar ability." An innovative guitarist and poetic lyricist, he weaves his live performances together in a fabric of vivid - often hilarious - stories, and throws in impressive instrumental pieces along the way. In the last few months LaMotte has released a retrospective CD of songs centered around the themes of peace, justice and hope, titled This Is My Song, as well as a live concert DVD and a children's book based on his award-winning children's song S.S.
