Rick has recently discovered that living to make music is its own reward. Since the late 90s he has singing solo at open mikes and small coffeehouses, and with formal choral ensembles, writing songs, and collaborating with like-minded people in the vibrant (international!) live music community. Rick sang solo coffeehouse gigs and with the folk-rock group "Parts and Labor" in the 70s and 80s. He regrouped with them to record "Twelve Dared Dreams" *on cdbaby) in 2005. With the help of friends and workshops from Cambridge to Chicago to Taos Rick is working an album of new songs, some of which can be found on rickdrost.com or myspace.com/rickdrostmusic.
