Boca Chica plays indie folk both sweet and raucous. She has some not-so-veiled leanings toward alt-country. Sometimes she wishes she were more punk rock, and that comes out in her songs too. She's a little Gillian Welch, a little Iron & Wine. Boca Chica has shared the stage with Mason Jennings and the Avett Brothers who she finds dreamy. And she really likes The Wonder Years, but admits that that doesn't really have much bearing on her music. | ||
