Colin Bradford
Colin has been playing since the ripe old age of 14. After receiving a guitar from his mother, he began taking lessons with various teachers. Soon, he would take up classical guitar, due to the fact that the guitar alone could provide all the music, both melody and accompaniment. He excelled at the classical style as well as pop/rock styles and was soon performing as a teenager in both genres. For his senior year of high school, Colin was admitted to the prestigious fine arts school - the Interlochen Arts academy in northern Michigan.
Upon graduating, Colin went on to attend the Mannes College of Music in New York City where he continued to study classical guitar. Here, he cut his teeth playing original and cover songs on New York subway platforms. Finding the classical music education limited, Colin opted to move back to Michigan where he played and performed in many pop/alternative bands such as Screwtape, Doxie and Genius Hired Guns.
Soon, Colin outgrew the Michigan scene and decided to move to Chicago to finish up his college education in music performance for classical guitar at Columbia College. Colin has continued to compose songs and both in and out of the band setting. Colin is now composing songs for his debut solo cd and performing in the Chicago area.
