Adrian Rhen

Brooklyn, NY is home to Buenos Aires-born artist Adrian Rhen, an accomplished songster who presents acoustic-rooted pop/rock with infusions of Hispanic flavor, incorporating violin and delectable percussion rhythms in a finely-tuned sound that speaks with allure and honesty, reaching out for the common strains of the human spirit in all of us.

Imperfect World

Nobody would argue that the world is a perfect place. Certainly Rhen would make no such assertion. Rhen realizes the struggles that confront people every day and writes music to provide an outlet, the creation of a perfect place through song in which people can find a temporary home, an escape from tension. "There are times in life that we must do things that we don't want to be doing and our minds wander off to dream of what we would love to be doing instead. Music, for me, is one of those times in my life that I am exactly where I need and want to be. I am home." A fan of Rhen could say the same.

Others

Song is ultimately about finding a way to touch others and be touched, about creating a symbiosis of the human spirit. Rhen embraces music's unique qualities, it's ability to forge a pathway that links humans to each other. His impeccable and emotive songwriting is just the perfect yellow brick road to bring this about. "I try to connect with others on such a human level using nothing but music, which proves that therein lies a special power in this language."

Fight

Every human being's destiny is to struggle to find his own niche, a place for the expression of his own passions. Rhen has done this for himself and his compelling music brings the gift of this ability to his listeners through music's distinct mode of inspiration. "Mostly I am inspired by seeing others fight for their passion, be it an athlete, writer, or mountain climber, the struggle to reach beyond one's own limitations and share that experience." Self-empowerment emanates from every song offered the public by songwriter Adrian Rhen.

Always on My Mind

Rhen's forthcoming release, Always on My Mind, will be an emotive display of this artist's power. A tour promoting the new album will send Rhen to the East Coast this spring and summer, with trips to the West Coast and Argentina following in autumn. Rhen's musical muse strikes at unexpected moments and results in refreshing and surprising songs. "I have always tended to be very impulsive with my writing. I'll see a movie that blew me away and I need to write a song. Then that idea will be introduced to the band in that raw form and worked on and perhaps even performed in order to give it proper breathing space until it eventually becomes the final version song that everyone will hear on the album." Recording is an equally galvanizing experience, says Rhen. "The recording process is both exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. You're trying to revel in the fact that you have the privilege of recording this moment in time of your life and also there is this voice in your head saying 'What if this doesn't turn out right?' and 'What if I can't shape this into what I hear in my head?' But once you realize that these questions are asked by even the most respected artists, you start enjoying the whole recording experience a whole lot more." Rhen is currently working with A&R Select, the leading indie A&R firm in Hollywood, CA.
