Brandon Warrick
Born sometime in 1981 to a family of exiled German/Brazilian immigrants, Brandon Roberts knew from the bamboo cradle that he was destined for overall goodness. Recieving his first instrument, a Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar, at the tender age of 11, Brandon put his tiny preteen fingers to work. By thirteen he was was writing toothpaste commercials with an old Tascam 4 track, shopping them from company to company, but to no avail. Yada yada yada, at 21 he was fated upon broadcast school classmate Mike Pentz, where they formed a band the likes that which had never been seen before. They called this union Monk Mobley! Brandon's main influences include and are not limited to: Fat Albert Band, Trey Anastasio, Tommy Emmanuel, Pat Metheny, Brendan Bayliss, Scottish, Jaik Willis, Kermit the Frog (acoustic- the electric stuff is too out there), Aaron Tappan, Talking Heads, Jack Black, Kyle Glass, and the rythmic trance of birds in a tree chirping. He has appeared as a session artist at the Jazz Showcase and The Frank Mantooth Jazz Fest. He has performed on such stages as Double Door, Beat Kitchen, Uncommon Ground, Tipitina's, Bluebird Theater, Canopy Club, The Rave, Elbo Room and tons of other such clubs. Although he see's himself one day finding a cure for stuff, Brandon keeps a level headed approach to things. "I always hope that one day we could all enjoy when something not out of the extraordinary happens to non-random people!" Brandon endorses Gand Music and Sound; an authorized Fender guitar and amplifier dealer and repair shop, DR Strings, Roland guitar pedals, Visual Sound guitar pedals, Shure microphones, and Planet Waves guitar straps. |
