Benjamin M. Smith has been writing songs for a while: about 6 years, he thinks. He likes doing it, and he likes playing music for people. These are important things to him. Oftentimes, his southern accent makes rare re-emergences when he sings, but this doesn't seem to bother anyone, so he continues. Benjamin has played in several bands over the years, but now he plays by himself and records himself with a bad microphone. However, with a little help from Réunion Isle Records, he's planning on recording and releasing a real album sometime in 2007. If you're in the Chicago area, you might be able to catch him playing some places this summer.
