Mary began singing and playing the guitar when she was four years old, and could read music before she could read words. At five years of age she was performing professionally. She learned to play the violin at age six, the banjo at seven, and since has gone on to play the keyboard, saxophone, mandolin, bass, and drums. Mean Mary and the Jamestown band have journeyed musically from concert stage to film to TV. They have performed more than 500 live TV shows and over 3,700 road shows—including the Ryman auditorium. | |
