Pagliari, 28, moved to Nashville in early 2002 and won recognition as the cities Best Unsigned Songwriter in the Nashville Scene's Readers Poll in 2003. His band, Fairfax, earned the title of Best New Local Band from [source] that year as well. Owing to their high quality of music, Fairfax had their song "If I Die" placed on a compilation disc entitled, This Is Americana, Vol.1, with other notable acts such as Willie Nelson, The Jayhawks, and Lucinda Williams. In early 2007, Pagliari moved back to the city he grew up in, Memphis, TN.
Pagliari signed on as a songwriter for Highland Music Publishing in January of 2006 where he continues to hone his craft of songwriting.
"I would say that I'm influenced by songwriter types such as Bob Dylan, Patty Griffin, Tom Petty, Jeff Tweedy, and Ryan Adams to name a few.", says Pagliari. At the end of 2007, Pagliari will have a few of his songs featured in the Warner Brothers Picture, P. S. I Love you, which is scheduled to be released on December 21 of this year. |
