StacyK and the Groovestains are a talented and dynamic four piece folk rock band based out of Minneapolis/St. Paul Minnesota. The members of the band are all very talented players individually, and when they play together the chemistry is evident to all. They turn heads and can captivate any audience with their genuine performance and unique sound. . They put on a high energy show that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life. Stylistically it ranges from bluegrass and rock to funk and reggae, all with an underlying folk influence. Much of the music they play was written by StacyK, although more recently there has been collaboration between all members to write new songs. StacyK is a very talented and intelligent band leader who will stop at nothing to see her vision for the band become a reality and the members of the band all share in that vision. This is a band that you want to keep both eyes on. They are a part of the next generation of great musical artists coming out of the artistic hub of the Twin Cities.
