Ballistic Edna
Ballistic Edna is Chicago's best alternative-pop band, firing up batch after batch of hook-filled, cliff top pop-rock. Their anthem "Smoulder" hit #1 on the adult charts on RadioWave.com in October 2003, and stayed on Radio AOL/Spinner.com/CMJ's Top Of The Charts (the 25 most requested songs) every month from October 2002 until present, while "She Will Return" appeared on Dawson's Creek in April 2003. Their radio-friendly hypno-epics have earned them cuts on College Music Journal's annual Certain Damage CD, and rave reviews in Outburn, Devil In The Woods, and Recording magazines.
Even the Ednas themselves don't understand the alchemy with which they atomize songwriter James Reilly's sorcery into a broth-tonic, that sets light to the hair of people dancing too close to the band. No words can truly evoke their beautiful music, just as no music can ever really articulate these handsome words. Not for nothing will you realize you can't get these songs out of your head. |
