Out Chicago Additional Information: Uncommon Ground Devon hosts the “green
room sessions”, a monthly eco-mixer, featuring 10-12 of
the top “eco-experts” speaking on different environmental themes. Free passed appetizers feature products from
our roof top farm, green city market or a local farmer that we regularly work
with. June-October: “Farmer Fridays” our organic Farmer’s Market
in the parking lot at uncommon ground Devon every Friday 4-8pm, Featuring
Harvest Moon Organic Farm. Working with
the community and inviting other like-minded businesses to share their vision
of sustainability, fundraising, etc.. at booths throughout the market. Spring-Fall, we teach gardening to the
3rd grade class of the Waldorf School 2 days a week in the organic
roof top farm. Uncommon ground donates the restaurants
used fryer oil to the Loyola University Bio-Diesel program. 100% of all wood products in the
restaurant were produced using timber from fallen trees in Jackson Park. 5 Solar-Thermal panels help heat the restaurants water |
