Musical Artists:
All music bookings are handled through our music program director Ryan Sweeney. You can reach him via: bookings@uncommonground.com.
You can drastically improve your odds by checking our web calendar and suggesting specific dates/times that fit your schedule and make artistic sense with other acts already booked. When reaching out, please include a direct link for your music, video, and dates you wish to play. Do not attach mp3s or other files to your email.
Uncommon Ground Music Policies
Marketing/Promotion:
Please provide Uncommon Ground with 4 posters at least one month in advance to hang at Uncommon Ground. Flyers, postcards, or promo CDs for distribution are also helpful. Mark 'POSTERS' and your show date on the outside of the envelope and put your show date on your posters! We submit our Uncommon Ground calendar to all of the Chicago Weekly publications (Tribune, Reader, Time Out, New City, etc..) It is also important for musicians and bands to submit listings as well. This will ensure that your performance will be listed in all of the publications.
Arrival:
When you arrive at Uncommon Ground please check in with the manager on duty.
Sound Specs:
Uncommon Ground has a professional sound system and provides a sound engineer for every show. The engineer will arrive at the club in time for your load-in.
Reserved Seating:
We don't do advance ticket sales. If your fans want to GUARANTEE seating, have them call and reserve a table. It is really important to include something like this in all your FB posts, email blasts, and so on: for Devon Location -"Make sure to reserve a table to gauruntee a seat for my show by calling 773-465-9801" for Clark Location -"Make sure to reserve a table to gauruntee a seat for my show by calling 773-929-3680 "
Merchandise:
If you have any merchandise (CD’s, T-shirts, etc.) to sell, you will be assigned a specific area to do so. It should offer plenty of space for you to display CDs, t-shirts, etc...
Please do not take tables from the dining area.
Uncommon Ground does not take any percentage from the sale of your merchandise.
