Skyline Semblance started as a brother and sister musical endeavor, but has since evolved to a five member indie rock band from the Chicago land area. Their sound is a blend of powerful heartfelt lyrics, acoustic influences, colorful chord progressions, and tight grooves. Rachel, the primary songwriter, conveys messages and themes that reach a wide audience. Her words uncover truths about her inner struggles and today's society.
Inspiration is drawn from artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Howard, Pearl and the Beard, William Fitzsimmons, Good Old War, and From Indian Lakes.
Skyline Semblance truly wishes you enjoy their music and hopes that their songs touch you, help you, or change you in some way.
Dusty Carlson is a Chicago based bassist and vocalist with an expansive repertoire of jazz, blues, folk, pop, and American songbook selections. He can take you for a long walk down the proverbial beach with his bass playing, and woo you gently back home with his folksy voice. The bass player next door is joined by 2 of his best Puerto Rican amigos, Marcos Rios on guitar and Jose Carrasquillo on cuatro, adding with an untethered island fire and a very unique sounding trio.
