Fawn & the Flame w/ Anna P & Cheryl Rodey - 7pm | $10

  • Uncommon Ground (Edgewater) 1401 West Devon Avenue Chicago, IL, 60660 United States (map)

Out of Minneapolis, The Fawn & The Flame features singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Carey Keavy and Chicago based Mike Marshall.  Carey has been performing in various venues since 2006, and has been a part of the rich music scene of Minneapolis as both a solo artist and founder of several bands.  Rift Magazine describes her voice as "reminiscent of a young Fiona Apple, hitting just the right note of melancholy and mischief."  Her live show includes a variety of styles, from poppy-folksy cotton-candy tunes with kazoo solos, to pensive heartbreak ballads.  Her favorite place in the world is on the stage, connecting with audience members in a live setting, with a mix of her heartfelt originals, fun audience participation and unique interpretations of favorite covers.

Anna P is a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. Her metaphoric lyrics, haunting melodies, and crystal-clear voice have propelled her to capture the attention of the local music scene and land gigs at legendary Chicago performance venues such as Cubby Bear, Navy Pier, and House of Blues' Foundation Room.

Her new EP ‘I Was An Iceberg’ is a chronicle through a mental breakdown following a heartbreak. The painfully honest lyrics of songs like “Hesitate” and “Waves” paint a scenery of the inner struggles of mental health.

A Chicagoland local, Cheryl Rodey is a vocal powerhouse that will excite you with a genuineness that can make anyone feel the love of music. With previous band, Ophelia Grey, Cheryl opened up for the band Daughtry, Drake Bell and Aarron Carter. Cheryl will soon be releasing new music in the Spring and Summer of 2019.
