Chicago-Based singer-songwriter Jessica Mindrum combines elements of indie folk and slowcore in her melodic storytelling. Her voice complements her guitar’s reverb by being soft and easy on the ears. She confronts existential crises, heartache, and loneliness through deeply honest lyricism. She doesn’t hold back when posing questions rooted in the human condition which encourages listeners to do the same. Mindrum’s songs ring like endless thoughts that hover across our minds, but she dresses them up, and puts a tune to the sadness.
Grace Blackford is a Chicago-based vocalist, lyricist and composer. The jazz-trained artist allows her knowledge of the genre to influence her work while incorporating elements of other genres such as R&B and pop. The result? Soulful, original music laced with complex emotion and vulnerability.
Grace released her first EP, ‘Home,’ in 2018 and her second EP, ‘Alterations,’ (a collaboration project with producer Zeke Akeem) in February 2019. She is currently working on her first full length album.
