Matt Feddermann w/ Pino Farina & Ed Gershon - 8pm | $10

  • Uncommon Ground (Edgewater) 1401 West Devon Avenue Chicago, IL, 60660 United States (map)

Taking his early rock influences and melding them with acoustic based music, Matt Feddermann has created a sound that is reminiscent of early Tom Petty, The Beatles, Rhett Miller & Dawes. His music is melodic & his sound is accessible. Over the years, Feddermann has performed at venues like House Of Blues, Metro, Double Door and at festivals such as Taste Of Chicago, Rock Around The Block, Sheffield Garden Walk and many more. During that time, he was seen on WGN TV, NBC Chicago, the Rosie O'Donnell Show and heard on WXRT, WYKT, WRLR & WLUW locally. Most recently, Matt Feddermann was featured in a HGTV television special called "Pumpkin Wars" with Property Brother Jonathan Scott. The show was filmed during the Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival in which Feddermann was the headline act. Veering away from over polished production and auto-tuned singing, Matt Feddermann is trying to reacquaint listeners with songs that are acoustic, emotional and raw. His music and performances are inspiring new music lovers, one ear at a time.

Pino Farina is a singer-songwriter in Chicago. In his early career, as a member of the indie-rock band Punsapaya, he toured the country extensively and in 2005 was awarded the Rock Album of the Year by the Chicago Music Awards. After some time off, the band has picked up where they left off, and have been writing and recording new original material as Pino Farina Band. The new album, “Start Over Again”, was released in May of 2018 and Pino is currently playing out in support of the new release as solo/duo/trio/full band.

Ed Gershon is a singer/songwriter native to the Chicagoland area, performing acoustic sets solo and also leading Butterfly In Traffic for the past 10 years. His bluesy vocal and soulful sound have been heard in venues across the area.
