The Olivia Ports Band consists of Olivia Ports (singer-guitarist), David Kelly (drummer-vocalist), Chris Leonard (lead guitarist) and Petar Kecenovici (cello & piano). Olivia is an indie/alternative singer/songwriter with a touch of folky influence. Her passion is for writing music that not only expresses herself but touches others. She has been playing live shows in the Chicago area and the Midwest as a solo acoustic act, but now is thrilled to be collaborating with some of her best friends on a more extensive instrumentation of her work.
Petar Kecenovici has toured worldwide with such notable artists as Andrea Bocelli, Sting and Dennis DeYoung (Styx), as well as with groups Cheap Trick, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, il Divo and many others. In his spare time Petar works with the Caring Arts Foundation, which provides arts-based programs to cancer patients in the Chicagoland area.
Chris Leonard works full time as an audio engineer at Gremlen Studios in Aurora. He graduated from Chicago’s Tribeca Flashpoint College in 2013 with a degree in Audio Engineering/Sound Design followed by Music Theory/Composition at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, in 2014. He is a highly skilled and well-rehearsed guitarist, in both classical and modern domains. Chris’ passion lies in collaborating with artists to create new and exotic sounds and styles, helping their art come to life and grab the listener’s attention.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, drummer-vocalist David Kelly has been playing drums for 25 years. He studied jazz performance at the University of North Texas and California Institute of the Arts. He played drums professionally in Los Angeles for 10 years. Dave toured for 5 years with The Drew Davis Band, a country band with a top 100 hit on the Billboard charts, opening for Hootie and the Blowfish on their final tour. The band also appeared on an episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels in 2009. Dave also has a background in sound engineering. He currently lives in Chicago’s western suburbs.
Colleen Wild has 15 years of entertaining, writing, and vocal experience. Wild has been in various projects ranging from live and studio bands to musicals. Starting at 14 years old she was the lead vocalist and writer for the 'Colleen Wild Band' from 1998-2005. Playing festivals, winning several battle of the bands and touring the Midwest she had the opportunity to open for major acts such as Tanya Tucker and Brad Paisley. At just 16 years of age she recorded her 3rd EP 'Colleen Wild' in Nashville, Tennessee with producer Chip Martin. Her single 'She's Four' off that EP went on to winning her 2nd place in the NACMAI competition in 2005. That same year she took home 3rd place nationally for female entertainer and 2nd place nationally for female vocalist in the '17-20 New Country' Category in the same NACMAI competition.
Expanding from her country roots Wild joined a progressive metal band as the lead vocalist and writer From 2005-2007. 'Lying In Ashes' took over the scene by storm with a new sound and style unlike any other at that time. Combining Wild's unique melodic voice with face melting metal music they were an amazing show. During that time they had the opportunity to open for ‘Lynyrd Skynyrd’ and also headline a state wide tour playing many amazing venues and connecting with fans all over Illinois and Wisconsin. During the time of 'LIA' she also team wrote with and for other local bands and artists.
After taking a musical hiatus, Wild started pursuing music again in the fall of 2009, this time adding a guitar to her arsenal of talent. Wild wrote a series of songs that were recorded and never released. Partaking in the NACMAI competition yet again in the spring of 2010 she took 1st place with her song 'Losin' Me'. Many great things are to be expected from this already sensational singer/songwriter.
