Hannah Frank is a Midwestern songwriter whose work runs the gamut of her experience: rural country blues, intricate finger-picking and the raw simplicity of cowboy chords give a basis of folk honesty. This blends into jazz, rock and electrifying energy. Top it off with wordplay, wit and characters which seem to step out of songs as if out of a novel. Generally seen with her band Hannah Frank Group, this special solo set is a surprisingly clear medley of her archives and latest cuts from over twenty years of songwriting.
