  • Uncommon Ground - Lakeview 3800 North Clark Street Chicago, IL, 60613 United States (map)

Caroline Lucius is an emerging singer-songwriter born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Her unique narrative style and intuitive lyricism engages her audiences as she invites them along an insightful, honest set. Amidst pop-rock melodies, her lyrics evoke a sense of nostalgia in even the least sentimental. Described as a “timeless wonderment” by her close friends, her midwestern roots and revelatory truth-telling foster connection to her audience as they cultivate a better connection to themselves.

Ben Mulwana is a Ugandan-born and raised singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Wisconsin. With a diverse range of musical inspiration, his songs have a storytelling quality that are both unique and familiar and are heavily shaped by his culture, past, and faith. With friends and family in many different corners of the world, Ben is inspired to create music that serves as a constant reminder that no matter the distance or differences that may separate us, sharing our love for one another can always bring us closer together.

The Lionhearted Socialists are new to the music scene in Chicago, they’re two teachers who want to share their love of music. They cover different genres, sing in English and French, enjoy mash ups, write their own songs, and like to make their performances playful with the audience.
