Lisa Sanders is a world renowned artist, songwriter, and producer. She has worked with musical legends including the Truckee Brothers, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt, Al Green, BB King and Babyface. Her heartfelt songs are genuine with deep meaning and conviction. A musical style that can only be described as a soulful country blues, her genres include folk pop, gospel, rock and jazz. Chicago-based folk and country duo, The Major Keys, consists of singing sisters Laura and Ellen Buttitta. Having grown up in a highly musical family, and inspired by a collection of sororal duos such as The Secret Sisters and First Aid Kit, Laura and Ellen have been immersed in harmony and singing together for over two decades. The complimentary registers of an alto and a soprano allow these sisters to produce sweet and sophisticated harmonies with a blend so tight as to often make it impossible to tell whose voice is whose. Featured on Philly D Slim’s album, Teach Me To You, and The Fifth Star Band’s album, Until Further Notice, The Major Keys collaborate frequently with a variety of artists throughout the city, including Resounding Wayves, whose members have provided instrumental backing for the duo. They have performed at an array of music festivals this past summer, as well as local venues such as The Tonic Room, Martyr’s, and the Elbo Room.
Hannah Frank is a Midwestern songwriter whose first forays into music swept through rural country blues, raw cowboy chords, and surprising lyrics. Soaking up Chicago's varied music scene, you will now also hear traces of jazz, world, rock and the electrifying energy of urban blues. Characters step out of songs as if out of a novel. The original songs and select covers are mysterious, evocative and fun.
