Blaqrock is a reflection and representation of the African American and Chicago youth in today’s society. Their debut release, “No Love for Blaqkid” takes the perspective of the character “Blaqkid” and shows how being an African American today impacts one’s life and how to grow from it.

“I want to rap, but I want to have a bad behind me.”
This was the phrase that began the band.

Blaqrock combines hip hop/rap, hard rock, and jazz influences to create their unique sound. With thoughtful, introspective lyrics and hard-hitting catchy riffs, the songs and performances of Blaqrock are always memorable.

Ernest “E-Man” Allgood was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. He is a passionate, driven and dedicated Rap/Hip Hop artist. He is widely known for his energetic flow, stage presence, versatility and rap scheme. E-Man has received radio play on Power 92.3 & 107.5 WGCI radio stations. He has performed at the Portage Theatre, Bar Louie, Velvet Lounge, Sub-T, The Abbey Pub, Columbia College Chicago, The Renaissance and other local Chicago venues. His latest single is "On It" that was just recently released with a visual. E-Man also just released a album titled "Get It Going" that is available on all platforms.
