Madeline Torem (Madi) is a born and bred Chicagoan/Gemini who is a rising Sophomore at New York University. Growing up with a pianist mother and a harp-slinging father, she spent her childhood trying to choose between their two favorites: The Beatles and The Stones, ultimately drawing inspiration from both. Her first performance was belting out the blues classic "Baby Please Don't Go" at her sister's Bat Mitzvah at the age of four and from then on her passion for performing has only grown.
Set Ups are a new outfit in the Chicago music scene. The project is led by local singer-songwriter Bruce Evers, who has been writing and performing music around Chicago for a while now. The music features eccentric chord progressions and introspective lyrics. Influences span across various genres from indie to metal to electronica.
Ryan Smith is a piano player and singer who has been in Chicago since February 2019. He arrived from Denver, Colorado after being active in the open mic scene there since 2015. Ryan has been playing piano self-taught since the age of 12, and also enjoys playing clarinet and guitar and more recently, his vocal looping machine. His goal with all of his performances is to connect with his audiences on an intimate level, and to make them smile. One of his favorite skills is that, if Ryan's heard a song before, he can play it. He loves taking requests from the audience from Top 40 and Soundtracks from throughout the years.
