Chai Tulani & The Bomba

Mike Vinopal

Bryan Scheinkopf

Chai Tulani was born in Nakuru, Kenya and raised in Chicago, IL. "That African from Chicago," bringing that hip hop, rap, and reggae with style and grace. Chai Tulani & The Bomba are riding high after recently opening for Wyclef Jean at Chicago's historic Metro. Check out Tulani's newest single, "Bounce," on SoundCloud!

Chicago native Mike Vinopal is a music machine as well as a solo artist, appearing in original music projects Local Motive (new-old-school rhythm & blues), Vino (acoustic roots), Mason's Case (aggressive indie-rock), MaMa JiMi (cinematic songwriting), and as a solo songwriter, performer, & public speaker.

Vinopal fronts the band Local Motive, who released their first full-length in August, the Grams LP, available on all streaming platforms. He pours everything he has into every performance & is a "must see" of the Chicago music scene. His generosity to crowds & fellow artists alike is unwavering. He is a man on a mission to create a global community of artists, truly believing that we are all a stronger when we band together.

In addition to live performance, Vinopal works for Hope For the Day as a professional advocate and educator to promote proactive suicide prevention through music and the arts.

Over the years, Vinopal has played with a lot of talented people at many historic venues including Chicago's House of Blues, The Metro, Cubby Bear, Martyrs', Navy Pier, and Lincoln Hall. He produces both video and musical collaborations with artists from all over the world and lends his production skills and knowledge of the music industry to Hope for the Day's BEATKEEPERS Project, teaching social and emotional literacy through guided collaborative composition using loops.

Bryan Scheinkopf has played the guitar since he was 10 years old. A blues guitarist at heart, Scheinkopf was raised on the music of the Beatles, and the Grateful Dead among a tasteful selection of others. As a performer, Bryan has earned his place in the local Chicago Jam music scene for his work with Zoofunkyou, Butter and Bullfights on Acid. For this unique acoustic performance, Bryan will be performing a selection of compelling originals and classic cover songs - and maybe doing some sonic exploration taboot.
