My work blends photography and painting into a single image, using digital tools to move between the real and the interpreted. Each piece begins with an original photograph, which I transform through layers of digital painting before merging it back into the original image. The result is not a reproduction, but a reinterpretation - where structure comes from the photograph and emotion is shaped through the paint. Much of my work is rooted in Chicago, a city I have been embedded in for over four decades. I have a fierce love for Chicago. That relationship shows in the images - gritty, familiar, and personal. These pieces are presented as signed, limited-edition canvas and metal prints. This is my way of seeing my city - and the world
