UNCOMMON GROUND LISTENING ROOMS
GET TO KNOW US! THEN BOOK WITH US.
Uncommon Ground hosts live music and performances at both our Edgewater and Lakeview locations. We're here for the emerging and established performers rooted in or visiting Chicago! Comedy, open mics, screenings, variety shows, dance, and live music thrive in our venues. We want to fill up our spaces so that your listeners can enjoy our delicious grub and drinks and you can perform for a real hub of people. We are able to provide performers our intimate listening rooms complete with full light and sound equipment and engineering so long as your listeners eat and drink during the show!
Performing acts receive 100% of cover sales after $75 is paid to the house for sound engineer/production fees. One contact person fills out a W-9 tax form upon arrival, then checks are issued immediately after the show to them. All separate performing acts on a given show coordinate how the cover profits are split unless the Program Director determines the split. Artists keep 100% of their merchandise sales, and each performer receives 50% off dinner and 1 free Greenstar Brewery drink ticket!
Note our spaces and capacity below.
LAKEVIEW LISTENING ROOM. CAPACITY 47
EDGEWATER LISTENING ROOM. CAPACITY 55
Our intimate listening rooms are somewhere between a concert venue and a coffee shop. Loud percussion, ripping electric guitars or booming brass bands blow our audiences away a little too much. Whatever the genre, please prepare to play at a level that is appropriate for our intimate listening room.
We ask that you tell your fans to call Uncommon Ground to make table reservations in the listening room. This is our version of advance ticket sales. The show’s cover charge is built into their food and beverage bill.
If you wish to do advanced ticket sales through Brown Paper Tickets, please follow up directly after filling out the form.
We get lots of requests, but we’re excited to learn more about you! Please know that all acts are carefully considered, and we’ll be in touch when there’s a fitting date or bill for your act.
