James Heitz began classical guitar at the age of four. Despite the structure and discipline of classical training and competition, a creative fire always burned beneath the surface. After picking up electric guitar and diving into songwriting, James played in bands throughout high school, using music as a refuge when there was nowhere else to turn. His sound blends the raw grittiness from Palaye Royale, the rebelliousness of Arctic Monkeys, and the yearning sound of Kings of Leon. To James, writing was like a conversation he could never have with someone else, and he hopes his music feels the same to others, letting others know they're never alone.
