FBD3 is a jazz piano trio, led by drummer & composer Francis "FBD" Bassett-Dilley. FBD3 plays a vast range of repertoire from jazz standards to original compositions, all with a strong emphasis on moment-to-moment conversational improvisation and risk taking. When playing, our goal is to invite audiences on a musical journey, coming away with a deep, thought-provoking, and infectiously joyful experience. Some of our influences include the legendary piano trios of artists like Chick Corea, Oscar Peterson, The Bad Plus, and Sullivan Fortner.
